Suppose I accidentally forget to exclude a folder and it has been propagated to all other devices. Is this the correct way to fix this error?

I discover that an unwanted folder has not been ignored and all other devices have synced it.

1. I move the folder somewhere else, outside of the synced folder. Syncthing sees this as a delete and deletes it everywhere else.
2. I edit the .stignore so this folder is ignored.
3. I move the folder back in, and syncthing will ignore it and not sync it to other folders.
